There's a long list of reasons why your Swiss or American mechanical pocket watch isn't properly performing. One or more of it's internal parts might be damaged, rusted, improperly calibrated, unoriginal or simply spoiled due to decades of use and wear. I'm quite confident that we can work together to return to function, your treasured mechanical pocket watch. I've specialized in high-grade and vintage mechanical pocket watch repair service since 1987, and seek to gain you as a valued customer for many years to come.

Most mechanical pocket watches that I receive for servicing are already nearly 100 years old and are requiring an internal overhaul based on their many years of daily service. Every vintage pocket watch I authorize for such a servicing and repair, normally has unique needs based on their original quality, the era of their manufacturing, style or model and the quality of it's previous repairs. Every watch I received will be fully and painstakingly serviced and remedied - and guaranteed for one year. It's not uncommon that a quality servicing and repair of a quality pocket watch can result in 20 years of uninterrupted dependable performance, given that it's treated with the care any fine instrument needs and deserves. Amazing performance of an instrument from any era, really.

Vintage American pocket watch repair is an absorbing and formidable endeavor. Accurately discovering the mechanical failure of your old pocket watch - over the Internet is a complicated task as well. Should you contact me inquiring about vintage pocket watch services, please be as detailed as you can about your mechanical pocket watch: any known needs, it's current physical condition, any performance notes, and any attempted or known servicing history. This will better allow me to reply with a good estimate of it's potential needs and possible repair costs.

I might mention that a majority of American and Swiss pocket watch servicing and repairs are seen to in three cycles that normally take up to two hours each. Upon the successful servicing and repair(s) of your vintage American or Swiss mechanical pocket watch, it's realistic to anticipate faithful operation for years to follow. I guarantee it.

Pocketwatch Restoration

Oregon has no sales tax.

A fair percentage of old American and Swiss pocket watches no longer dependably function due to their internal lubrication having evaporated over time. A full break-down, cleaning of it's many internal parts, lubrication, reassembly and following calibration can frequently bring a pocket watch back to life. In other incidents, an old pocket watch may stop functioning or lose dependability due to the above mentioned need for servicing and because internal components may have becoming broken, water-damaged or spoiled from decades of use. After many years in business, I've amassed a vast assortment of vintage watch material so that should your pocket watch be found in need of a replacement part due to these mentioned failures, I'll be able to make it's proper replacement smoothly, if even necessary.

I'll be thrilled to work with you on any high grade mechanical manual wind or self-winding Swiss or American pocket watch with a 7 jewel minimum with the brands / factories below:

When you contact me about the restoration of your pocket watch, please be as clear about it's current performance, physical condition and any known repair history. This will enable me to pass along a surprisingly close estimate of it's needs. Within 24 hours after your detailed explanation of your watches current state, you will receive a reply from me with an estimate.

Most mechanical watches lose their dependability or will stop operating because the inner workings have become dirty and it's lubrication has dried up. A full disassembly, thorough cleaning, reassembly and calibration will most often bring a watch back to life. Other times a watch will stop due to internal breakage, fatigue, or complications due to water damage-rust.

This is when parts replacement is a necessity. I have a very deep archive of early American and Swiss watch parts, however due to the rarity of some watches and limited manufacturing runs of replacement material, not all watch parts are available for all watches.
